Khandala is famous for its rock formations of different shapes as it is a common activity among the travelers to drive towards the Tiger's leap to be able to visit the Shiv Linga rock. Commonly known as the “Swayambhu”, it is located in the mighty hills of Sahyadri range.

Khandala is located at a distance of 87 km from Mumbai. One of the popular and beautiful hill stations in the country, Khandala is well connected to Mumbai by road. However, the best way to reach Khandala from Mumbai is by road, a journey of about 1 hour 40 minutes by car.

 The places covered between Mumbai and Khandala are Mumbai - 26 km -> Navi Mumbai - 37 km -> Ambivali - 29 km -> Khandala. On the way, there are several ATMs, hospitals, and rest stops. Eating joints such as Appetite and Sunrise Restaurant are present on the route. Petrol pumps of Hindustan Petroleum and Indian Oil, among others, are also available at regular intervals en route.
